Public Transit Project: Ozinga

Announcing the 2024 IRMCA Public Transit Project Award Winner, Ozinga Ready Mix! The new NICTD Double Track project is a community gift that will serve thousands of riders. The camera footage doesn’t quite capture the 17 miles of new track, 4 new bridges, and 8 new station platforms.

Project Time: 1 Year & 7 Months

The different sub-projects involved in this new double track railroad line required 14 different mixes, ranging from 3,000psi to 5,000psi. The two companies on this project chugged right through on another successful project! Well done and thank you teams for your contribution to the larger community, economy, and industry. 🛠️ This land was built with the American railroad system, we need to make sure we maintain and improve upon it!
