At the 2025 IRMCA Short Course, the Carl D. Franks Award – Cement Producer was presented to John Vaughan of Heidelberg Materials. This prestigious honor recognizes outstanding contributions and marketing efforts within the Portland Cement Industry, continuing the legacy of Carl D. Franks, an Indiana native who dedicated his career to promoting concrete.

John’s career spans decades of leadership in technical services, including roles with Lehigh Cement, Essroc Italcementi Group, and Irving Materials, Inc. As a Technical Services Engineer at Heidelberg Materials, his expertise and commitment have significantly impacted the concrete industry in Indiana and beyond.
