Project of the Year Runner-up

The 2024 IRMCA Project of the Year Runner-up, imi and the Three Rivers Protection & Overflow Reduction Tunnel (3RPORT), represents an engineering feat that will protect Fort Wayne’s rivers for decades to come.

This nearly five-mile-long tunnel intercepts combined sewage and reduces overflow events that have historically affected the city’s waterways. With 32,895 yards of concrete and a seven-year construction timeline, this project is one of the largest public infrastructure undertakings in Fort Wayne's history.
